Hotel-inspired bed linen

Hotel-inspired bed linen

A comfortable hotel bed comes from a combination of details: closely woven cotton, a fitted sheet that stays in place, a lofty duvet and supportive pillows. This Noctua Paris selection brings those pieces together at home: 400-thread-count Egyptian cotton, sateen weave, goose feather and down fillings.

The details of hotel-style comfort

A close weave with a subtle sheen, a sheet that stays smooth, pillows that hold their shape and a lofty duvet without excessive weight. And almost always white: it washes hot, can be replaced piece by piece and never goes out of style.

The weave: 400 threads in sateen

Our Egyptian cotton is woven at 400 threads in a sateen weave: smooth surface, subtle sheen and a feel that softens with every wash. Beyond 600 threads the gain is marginal; fibre length matters more than thread count.

A sheet that stays in place

The Egyptian cotton fitted sheet has elastic all around to distribute tension. A quilted mattress protector underneath smooths out the mattress surface.

Pillows and duvet

A hotel pillow holds its shape when you lean against it, thanks to its goose feather and down filling. The Signature pillow (€59 in 50x70, €79 in 65x65) dresses the headboard, while the quilted goose feather and down pillow (from €79) is for sleeping. The Hotel 4 Seasons duvet (€299–429, black piping) adapts to the season: light on its own, warm when combined.

Frequently asked questions

Why do hotels use white? It washes hot, is replaced piece by piece and signals cleanliness. At home, it suits every bedroom.

What thread count should I aim for? Between 300 and 500 for long-staple cotton. Above that, you mostly pay for a sales argument.

How do I get a neat finish? Pull the fitted sheet tight, shake the cover flat and fluff the pillows before standing them against the headboard.
